Setting up a PMO with PMO Learning

Setting Up A PMO With PMO Learning

We’ve got some great upcoming courses and events for those looking to establish a a PMO within their organisation.

We have a fantastic two day virtual course coming up in November, Setting Up A PMO, a hands-on course and workshop which walks you through the practical steps in the set up of a PMO.  Delegates will benefit from a raft of tools, techniques and templates to establish a consistent approach to project management within their organisation. The course also covers Programme Office and Portfolio Office as an extension as the roadmap can be used for the set up of these types of PMOs.

The course covers a roadmap which allows delegates to set the direction of their PMO set-up based on their situation, either right now or in the future when they move onto another organisation. Using a roadmap is pretty much what any PMO consultant uses when they’re tasked with setting up a PMO. The roadmap drives which questions to ask and how to take those answers and provide a PMO solution that is right for that particular business.

Each step along the roadmap – from clarifying the request or need for the PMO through to the rollout and embedding and improving the PMO – is covered in the course

This course covers a variety of topics, including, Governance of Project Management, The Role of the PMO, The Project Management Framework and The PMO Implementation Roadmap.

Here’s what our delegates have to say about our Setting Up A PMO course,

It really goes back to the start of setting a PMO up and carries you the whole way through.

PMO Roadmap

Evening Webinar

If you’re looking for an insight to setting up a PMO, why not join us for our evening webinar session on the 20th January? With more and more organisations investing in a PMO structure to support projects, programmes and portfolios, this session focuses on the setting up of a PMO on a greenfield or brownfield site.

During these 90 minutes, we’ll be taking a look at the roadmap for success and focus on the answers to these questions:

• What kind of PMO is required?

• What resources are needed to implement a PMO successfully?

• What skills and capabilities should be in place to build the right PMO?

Insights are shared from the PMO profession including the realities shared from attendees from the PMO Learning Setting Up a PMO course. You should attend the session if you are interested in what elements form a successful PMO set up; the skills needed within the PMO and how the PMO contributes to successful delivery.
