PMO Administrator and the Service Catalogue

The role of the PMO Administrator is to support the Project, Programme, or Portfolio Manager and their team in administrative and secretariat aspects.

The Administrator course has quickly become popular in the last year and with our next course coming up on the 7th-9th of August, we thought we would give you a further insight into the course and some of the topics covered.

This three-day course covers the PMO in context, PMO roles, P3M Administration competence, and delivery support.

On day one of the course looking at the PMO in context, one of the key topics covered is the service catalogue. The service catalogue is a list of all the services that your PMO can offer to a project, programme, portfolio, enterprise-level – whichever level or type of PMO you’re working in.

What can be included in your PMO service catalogue? Here is a list of points that are covered in the administrator course:

  • Service Description
  • What the service provides for the customer
  • Why is the service being offered to the customer?
  • How the PMO will deliver the service
  • How the PMO will measure the value of the service
  • Criteria for when the PMO will deliver the service
  • Helpful hints for the PMO when delivering the service
  • PMO capabilities needed to fulfill the service
  • Related services

This Friday we have a webinar on The PMO Service Catalogue which will discuss what it contains and why your PMO needs one. Click here to register your place!
