The House of PMO – the professional body for PMO practitioners – has just launched the final qualification in a suite of four, which align with the most common roles found in PMO.
The latest one – Essentials for PMO Directors, comes on the back of the previous three – focused on PMO Administrators, PMO Analysts and PMO Managers.
The Essentials courses are aimed at those who are new to that level of role – they cover the essentials needed to perform in the role and focus on the competences, knowledge, skills and behaviours.
The Essentials for PMO Directors is the final Essentials course to be released and is aimed at:
- PMO Director
- Enterprise PMO Managers
- Portfolio Managers
- PMO Managers (typically ‘the’ PMO Manager in an organisation)
- Heads of Delivery (where they have delivery and PMO accountability)
The course is also for those who are moving into a senior PMO role from a business role or senior delivery role (Project and Programme Managers)
The course is a two-day course with an hour exam covering 50 questions.
PMO Learning became the first Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) to offer the course following the successful take up and delivery of the first three levels.
